Tour Update
West Coast Tour
Greetings from the West Coast!
Our tour is well on its way. We are three weeks in, and over three cities down. The last few weeks have been a blur of scheduled events, exploring, and enjoying this last phase of our 2.5-year journey together.
With all the different event venues it is hard to know how we are being effective. However, we’ve received a few encouraging emails including the one below forwarded from a photogenX staff member in Kona.
Hello!
I was recently at Lestat's in San Diego, and I heard two girls speak about the Act Here. Love Now organization. They shared heart-warming stories from the book, and I immediately got home and had to see for myself what this was all about. It greatly touched my heart. For a while now, I've felt very stuck. I haven't been able to figure out exactly what I want to do with my life. After hearing the words from these girls my age, who were touching parts of the world I could only dream of; I realized that I need to be a part of something bigger than myself.
Is there any way to become a part of this organization? Please let me know; as I would love to join this phenomenal team of world-changers?
As we travel the west coast sharing our book and message to Act Here. and Love Now. the Lord is giving me a new love for the last 2.5 years of my life. The more I share the stories of the people I met and the message of our book, the more I believe in all that God showed me and put in my heart.
Portland has panned out rather nicely. We have a full schedule of speaking engagements + photo exhibits and housing!
I recently bought “Nonprofit Kit for Dummies”, a learning tool to teach me the ins and outs of starting a nonprofit. While I am not 100% sure about my art center, I want to be informed and prepared.
Prayer Requests:
1. Safe travels. Our mini van from Montana is 12 years old. It makes loud noises. Don’t be scared, just pray.
2. More hearts to be moved by our message to Act Here. and Love Now.
3. Unity within the team. Spending 24.7 together in small spaces is stretching. May we have grace and patience for each other.
4. A friend prayed this over me: “I ask that as Lindsay fulfills her first calling to intimacy with You, that she will spark the other many callings you have for her, and direct her to where and what she is to do with her next season.”
Act Here. Love Now. T-shirts: Cambria’s brother made us Act Here. Love Now. T-shirts to sell on our tour. We sold out in our two weeks and are ordering more!
Act Here. Love Now. Books: Our 4,000 books came in time for our tour to start in San Diego. This was a huge blessing being we were told they wouldn’t be on the mainland until the middle of May.
We work hard & play hard: In the midst of speaking engagements + photo exhibits + selling we do find time to play. Pray our last month together would be special. It will be hard to say goodbye to these girls.
very cool girl! love your blog :)
