Touch The Nations

My friend, Katja, started Touch The Nations in an effort to connect the world at home and the world abroad - sharing awareness, resources and hope.

A Way to get involved and help:
Touch the Nation's project - Ship Hope to Africa - is raising funds to send a sea crate [train car] of donations to the war wounded and amputees in Sierra Leone.

More than 6,000 amputees in Sierra Leone received no compensation after they were unjustly maimed in a decade-long civil war.The child soldiers - drugged to commit these atrocities - were compensated for relinquishing their weapons. The victims - including men, women and children - were largely overlooked by the world.

Everything from shoes and clothing to books, tools and electronic items are already being promised. It costs $12,000 to send - $2 per amputee. They are looking for people to help pay for the shipping costs as well as donate needed items. Check out what items are needed.
