In Elementary School…







- I had a Ghost Busters lunch pail

- I desperately wanted to go to Space Camp

- I memorized each state and capital but never took the test

- I was a big fan of couple skating

- I read in the car for 30 minutes each morning on my way to day care

- I loved crimping my hair

- Side ponytails were my “go-to” hair do

- I made up dances, played kickball and walked to Baskin Robbins during the summers

- I hated oatmeal but loved liver and mashed potatoes

- My grandma taught me to cross-stitch

- I cried reading “Where The Red Fern Grows”

- My softball coach told me I stepped with the wrong foot when throwing the ball [Not true – I was just the first left-handed kid he met]

- I wanted to be in the talent show every year but never tried out

- I played clarinet

- I loved Oregon Trail and Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego

- My dog’s name was Freeway

- I liked Matt Darling

- I loved looking at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve

- Mrs. Breadfelt and Ms. Carmen were my favorite teachers

- Care Bears and Cabbage Patch Kids were my obsession

- I played Barbies with Amanda and Legos by myself

- Around the world basketball each Thanksgiving with dad and cousin

- I learned to golf
