The Church of the Nativity
The Church of the Nativity, in Bethlehem, is one of the oldest continuously operating churches in the world. The structure is built over the assumed birthplace of Jesus of Nazareth.
The Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox and Armenian Apostolic authorities administer the church jointly and all three traditions maintain monastic communities on the site.
The door was built small so when people enter the church they bow down in reverence

Luke 2:8-10, “And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And the Angel said to them, Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.”

Approximately 2 km to the east of Bethlehem lies the village of Beit Sahour, where one of the most sacred places to Christians; the Shepherds' Field; is found, identified as the scene where the Angel of the Lord visited the shepherds and informed them of Jesus' birth.

My favorite (sarcasm) part about Jerusalem was that every place you went was the assumed place that something happened. Nothing was official, and there was like 3 other places that were assumed the same thing! Ha, but I still loved it and I still found it interesting. Not to mention, all the places that have churches built on them, like where Judas hung himself!
